I have been to Hawai’i for the last 6 years and will be there again in Jan. I always find new and exciting things to do. But on the Big Island I will always find the volcano the most extrodinary thing. You can now see the lava flow from the end of the road without even walking out onto the lava. It is awesome. However, the whales are my favorite. One year we had a mother and baby come up and play by the boat, I will never forget that big brown eye as she swam under the boat and turned and looked up. Two years ago we were on a dinner cruise and just as I put my video camera down, a whale tale appeared about 2 inches from the boat—-unbelievable. Obviously, I could go on and on, but I won’t. When you go enjoy yourself and remember there are only two speeds in Hawai’i: slow and stop.
