Formerly know as the Aloha Festivals, this month-long event celebrates Hawaii’s aloha spirit and cultural traditions. Highlights include investiture of Royal Court at Puuhonua o H?naunau National Historical Park Aug. 30; falsetto singing/storytelling, Miss Aloha Nui and poke contests at the Waikoloa Beach Resort Sept. 4 – 6; couples hula and kupuna hula Sept. 11 and 17 at Outrigger Keauhou Beach Resort; paniolo parade and hoolaulea in Waimea Sept. 19 and Queen Liliuokalani Festival in Hilo Sept. 27; plus other events.
