Dance of the Warrior

Along with hula, another important dance of Hawaii is the haa koa or “dance of the warrior.” A series of six classes in this seldom-taught dance will be offered over the course of two weeks at the Hilo High School gymnasium. Men and women, visitors and residents are invited to this free class. 4 – 5 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday weekly. (808) 989-4844 or e-mail pua@mamalahoa.org.
