Queen Liliuokalani Canoe Races

Held in Kailua-Kona, this is the largest long-distance canoe race in the world, attracting dozens of canoe halau (clubs) from Hawaii and beyond. This event features a torchlight parade, dance and luau awards ceremony. Kona’s Kai Opua Canoe Club hosts the event. Visit www.kaiopua.org or call (808) 331-8849 to learn more.
