
Banyan Drive, adjacent to the hotels and on the shore of Hilo Bay
Liliuokalani Gardens authentic, Japanese garden park was named in honor of Hawaii’s last reigning monarch, and was built in the early 1900’s as a memorial to the immigrant Japanese who developed the old Waiakea Sugar Plantation. It features pavilions, an arching footbridge, a teahouse, reflecting lagoons and several magnificent Japanese stone lanterns.
